Summary:
Under the supervision of the Food Services Coordinator, the Assistant Food Services Coordinator will assist with the planning, organizing and managing the daily operation of the Dietary Department.
This position performs dining services and housekeeping duties and assumes general responsibility for the kitchen and food services.
The Assistant Food Services Coordinator must act in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the facility to assure that quality dietary services are provided on a daily basis and that the dietary department is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner.
Basic
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or GED.
Experience:
Minimum of one year working with a frail or elderly population Two years working in dietary services including meal planning and preparation Skills and Knowledge:
Effective written and oral communication skills Effective organizational skills.
Previous food service experience Ability to communicate in English Ability to function autonomously and is an independent decision maker.
Effective skills necessary to meet the nutritional needs of frail older adults.
Demonstrate effectiveness as a group leader and participant and the ability to collaborate with multiple members of the health care and administrative leadership team.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
